试析古桂柳运河旅游开发

古桂柳运河修筑于唐朝长寿元年,作为古代贯通漓江和柳江的唯一通道,缩短了桂州至柳州的水路300多公里,在开拓岭南、加强封建王朝统治的过程中起到了重要的作用。运河拥有深厚的历史文化意义和独具特色的湿地生态环境,已作为桂林市政府2007年的工作重点,运河旅游的开发将弥补大桂林旅游圈的一大空白,成为桂林新的旅游经济增长点。

Tourism Exploration of Ancient Guiliu Canal

Ancient Guiliu canal was built in Tang Dynasty.As the only passage between Li River and Liu River,it shortened more than 300 km distance in waterway from Guizhou to Liuzhou.It played an important role in exploration of regions south of the Five Redges and helped to strengthen the ruling of the dynasty.The canal has a deep historic cultural meaning and special wetland ecoenvironment.As the key project of Guilin government in 2007,exploration of the Canal will become an economic increasing point in tourism of Guilin.
