A New Power Relation between China and America:the Path and Challenges

In response to the changing international situation, China and the U. S. have reached a general consensus on developing a new type of relationship between them, whose essence lies in cooperation, understanding and innovation. The key is conflict control, while the basic path is concept shift, strengthened interaction, cooperation expansion, and mechanism building. The new path may face many uncertainties in the future, including America＇ s China strategy adjustment, infringement on China/s core interests, and America＇ s being ＂kidnapped＂ by the third party. The both sides should deal with these challenges with superb political wisdom.
