On the Value and Application of MOOCs in Public Elective Courses in Public Security Colleges and Universities

The survey shows that the public elective courses in public security colleges and universities are in urgent need of improvement in terms of curriculum, teaching effect, student satisfaction and teaching management. Since MOOCs have rich resources, flexible teaching methods, diversified teaching design and other value elements, integrating MOOCs teaching in public security colleges is a beneficial attempt to promote the application of modern technology and open education, a necessary content of teaching reform under the condition of big data, and an effective way to improve the quality of talent training.
