Affiliation: | Jane Butler Kahle, Condit Professor of Science Education, Miami University, is an international scholar in gender differences in science education and in the evaluation of the systemic reform of science and mathematics education. As Principal Investigator of Ohio's Systemic Initiative, Discovery, she has led Ohio's systemic reform of science and mathematics education for the past ten years. Dr. Kahle received the Distinguished Contributions to Science Education through Research Award from the National Association of Research in Science Teaching in April 2000. From 1999 to 2002, she served as Division Director for Elementary, Secondary and Informal Education at the National Science Foundation.;Marie Kronebusch, Discovery Center, Miami University, is an educational researcher focusing on science education and gender equity. She has taught science in elementary and secondary schools and at the Virginia Museum of Natural History. She has conducted biological research at the Airlie Environmental Research Center and has performed research for Head Start. Ms. Kronebusch received her bachelor's degree in biology from the University of Virginia. |
