| Abstract: | With the method of longitudinal study this paper examines the reconstruction of the social network by the new female immigrants in their first year of immigration to Hong Kong. Based on in-depth interviews and observation, the paper summarizes the characteristics of the new immigrants' social network, their methods of network building and the factors affecting the construction of the network. |
