He served U.S. Presidents Kennedy, Johnson, and Ford as an arbitrator of major national disputes involving railroads, airlines, and shipping. His remarks here are an adaptation of his talk at the Hewlett Centers 2002 meeting, during which he presented prints of the artwork shown at the left to the Hewlett Foundation, the CUNY Dispute Resolution Consortium, and the Institute of Conflict Analysis and Resolution at George Mason University. |
