Abstract: | Abstract In an interview held at the Kennedy School of Government on December 9, 1998, Harvard sociologist William Julius Wilson responds to questions posed by Teodros Kiros on topics centrally important to understanding contemporary American society. The interface between race and class, affirmative action, and social stratification are discussed in light of Wilson's major works: Power, Racism and Privilege; The Declining Significance of Race; The Truly Disadvantaged; and When Work Disappears. |
