毛泽东思想和中国特色社会主义理论体系是马克思主义中国化的两大理论成果。中国特色社会主义理论体系不包括毛泽东思想,毛泽东思想和中国特色社会主义理论体系是并列关系而不是包含关系。但是,说中国特色社会主义理论体系和毛泽东思想不是包含关系,并不是说两者没有任何逻辑联系。恰恰相反,没有毛泽东思想,就不可能有中国特色社会主义理论体系。毛泽东思想是中国特色社会主义理论体系的渊源理论,毛泽东哲学思想是中国特色社会主义理论体系的哲学基础。

Maoism and the theoretical system of socialism with Chinese characteristics are two fruits of signification of Marxism. The theoretical system of socialism with Chinese characteristics does not include Maoism. They are in parallel with but not contain each other. However,it does not mean that there is no logical relation between them. On the contrary,the theoretical system of socialism with Chinese characteristics cannot come out without Maoism. Maoism is the source of the theoretical system of socialism with Chinese characteristics,and the Maoist philosophy is the philosophical foundation for the theoretical system of socialism with Chinese characteristics.
