| Abstract: | Since the establishment of New China in 1949, the Chinese language has had a comprehensive and profound change with the obvious characteristic of state dominance from the very beginning, i.e. the government has been promoting the modernizational reform process by issuing a series of decrees, regulations and rules concerning the standardization of both the language and the characters. |
