He received his Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania and taught there and at the University of California at Berkeley and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His work o n social policy planning, citizen participation, and community organization has been published in national and international journals.;THOMAS W. O'ROURKE, Ph.D., is Associate Professor of Health Education, with joint appointments in the Schools of Clinical Medicine and Public Health, at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His research interests include the development, implementation, and evaluation of health programs designed t o improve the framework for planning and delivering health services. Dr. O'Rourke has published extensively in major health education, policy, and administration journals.;DAVID BULL, M.S., is a graduate student in the Department of Health and Safety Education at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. |
