党的十七大报告科学阐述了加快转变经济发展方式、促进国民经济“又好又快”发展的战略部署。在新时期，“又好又快”发展是贯彻落实科学发展观的根本要求，是我国工业化进程由中期向后期转变的客观要求。当前，我国国民经济总体运行继续呈高速增长趋势，为“又好又快”发展奠定了坚实的基础；结构调整变动处于活跃期，成为向“又好又快”发展转型的机遇期。

Reflections on the Sound and Rapid Development of the National Economy

The report delivered to the 17th National Congress of the Party explains in a scientific way the strategic plan for accelerating the transformation of the development pattern and promoting the sound and rapid development of the national economy. In the new period, ＂sound and rapid＂ development is the fundamental requirement for applying the Scientific Outlook on Development and also the objective requirement for the transformation of industrialization from the medium stage to the later stage. Currently, the general operation of our national economy continues to assume high growth swing, , and this lays a good foundation for ＂sound and rapid＂ development. The drive of strnctual adjustment is in full and this provides a new opportunity for ＂sound and rapid＂ development.
