About Historical and Cultural Origin of Human Rights Diplomacy of the United States

The European immigrants made up the main part of early American society. The formation and development of American politics and culture have been deeply affected by the culture of the immigrants' native countries, and experienced variation and development in the special conditions of North America. The pursuance of freedom, democracy, equality and individual emancipation, together with the value orientation of Protestant's "sense of mission" have influenced the formation of the American nationality. The Americans regard themselves as the special commissioners to protect human rights, which is the origin of hegemonic human rights diplomacy of the United States.
