Suggestions in Response to the Impact of Media in College English Education

As a product of the current stage of information technology development, the surge of new media has inevitable impact on college English education, including negative aspects such as excessive dependence on new me- dia and destructive learning attitude. To solve these problems, college teachers should take advantage of the positive aspects of new media to expand and extend English education, advancing strategies to re-adjust traditional norms, up- date textbooks, utilize after-class instructions, change testing forms, and improve their own learning as well as teach- ing abilities.
