The Populace Critique and Acceptance of the Works of Tao Yuanming

The genealogical documents compiled before 1949 include some articles written by the general public which analyzed and criticized the works of Tao Yuanming as well as his personality.These materials provide an important access to Tao's influence and its development in the general public.Furthermore,this kind of research has significant meanings for exploring and generalizing the regularity of the acceptance of Chinese literature.Therefore,although,these materials are not special in themselves,they absolutely should not be underestimated in terms of enriching and improving the theory of the Chinese literature criticism and acceptance.
