浅析“民主”与“民本”

"民主"与"民本"都是以民众利益的维护为目的,但是二者的内涵不同,目标与功能不同.从历史上看,民本思想所起的进步作用有限,它只是王朝统治的安全阀和缓冲器,但它是封建专制统治中较有利于民的思想,民本思想的泛化可以作为民主化的第一步,即人民体会到自身存在的重要意义.

Elementary Introduction to "Democracy" and "People Oriented"

Both democracy and people oriented aim to maintain the benefit of the public, but they differ in connotation , objective and function. Historically, people oriented ideology, as the safety valve and buffer for the domination of the dynasties, played a limited role, but it' s an ideology favorable to the people of the feudal autocracy, and the spread of the people oriented ideology could be regarded as the first step toward democratization, which made people realized the significance of their existence.
