索绪尔和认知语言学

认知语言学是语言科学中较新的一个流派。然而 ,有些语言学者往往因过于强调其新颖性 ,否定认知语言学与结构主义存在任何关系 ,进而否定索绪尔对认知语言学的影响。这种片面的观点主要是因为他们一方面没有认清结构主义存在不同的表现形式 ,另一方面没有深入探究索绪尔的思想 ,从而错误理解了索绪尔理论。本文通过细致分析索绪尔理论并将之与多种语言观作对比研究 ,旨在揭示索绪尔对认知语言学的贡献 ,同时帮助弄清语言研究的现状

Saussure and Cognitive Linguistics

Cognitive linguistics is a newer school of linguistic science. However, some linguists, who over-emphasize its novelty, have denied relationship of whatever kind between cognitive linguistics and structuralism, such that they have denied Saussure's role in cognitive linguistics. This fragmentary view arises from their failure, for one thing, to recognize the various forms of structuralism, and for another, to delve into Saussure's ideas, which has led to their misunderstanding of his theory. This paper, by way of a detailed analysis of Saussure's theory and a contrastive study of it in relation to a variety of linguistic views, is aimed to reveal Saussure's contribution to cognitive linguistics as well as to help clarify current situation of linguistic research.
