The Way to Achieve Cultural Self--consciousness of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics

The cultural self-consciousness of socialism with Chinese characteristics includes self--awareness, self--reflec- tion and self-creation. Its subjects are the intellectuals, the party, government workers, and the general public. Enhancing cultural self-consciousness is a must to adapt to cultural globalization and to protect national cultural security, also a necessary way to build a comprehensive well--off society and achieve the great rejuvenation goals. Culture reflection and culture creation are the ways to achieve cultural self--consciousness. We should reflect foreign culture and traditional culture, strengthen main- stream culture＇s leading position, and implement culture ＂bringing in＂ and ＂going out＂ strategy to construct socialist culture with Chinese characteristics.
