A Review and Analysis of the U.S.Arguments on Its Hegemony in the Post-Cold War

There are two main different cognitive views on the U.S. hegemony in Amercia after the Cold War, namely, ‘view of hegemony maintenance＇ and ‘view of hegemonic decline＇. They interpret the future of the U. S. hegemony from different perspectives. Although there are differences between them, they are not fundamentally opposite. Beyond these differences, there exists the consensus in nature between them. The arguments include the factors of U. S. grand stratedy, which provides the possible options of national strategy for the U.S. government in the post - Cold War era.
