Innovation of Volunteering Service in the Chinese Coastal Cities and Its implication for the societal transformation of China -- A Case Study in Shenzhen City

Development of the volunteering service witnessed in the first volunteer group of the Chinese mainland---Shenzhen association of volunteer service is extremely significant to the societal transformation of China. It is being characterized with the functions of coordination, training, and support among others. Its innovation of service includes those of legal system, institution, service, and network. All of these experiences are not only referential to the volunteer service development in the inner areas of China, but also particularly suggestive to the volunteering service in the world.
