党群关系和谐是实现社会和谐的重要基础。随着改革不断向纵深推进，社会的各个方面都发生了复杂而深刻的变化，党群关系也面临着新的挑战。因此，必须不断创新党的群众工作机制，建立健全干部选拔机制、政绩评价机制、民意表达机制、矛盾纠纷调处解决机制、党群关系状况考评机制，使党密切联系群众的各项政策和制度发挥实效，构建和谐的党群关系。

The harmonious relations between the Party and the masses are the important basis for social harmony.With the opening up drive developing in depth,profound changes have taken place in all aspects of the Chinese society,and the relations between the Party and the masses are faced with new challenges.So,in order to implement the Party’s polices on maintaining close ties with the masses,it is necessary to constantly make innovations of the mechanism for the Party’s mass work,set up and improve a mechanism for selecting cadres,the mechanism for evaluating cadres’ performance,the mechanism for expressing public opinions,the mechanism for mediating and tackling contradictions and disputes,and a mechanism for evaluating the conditions of the relations between the Party and the masses.
