Abstract: | Between 13 September and 4 October, 14 members of the Society participated in a tour of Inner Mongolia, the three provinces of North East China or Manchuria, namely Liaoning, Heilongjiang and Jilin; the province of Shandong, and the cities of Beijing and Tianjin (see Figure 1). The following narrative was based on a lecture to the Society by James Morrin on 5 February 2003 and is followed by impressions contributed by Alan Gordon. Both contributors were members of the Society's 2002 Tour. |
