| Abstract: | The methods of thinking contained in DENG Xiao-ping's theory of the essence of socialism are mainly that emancipating the mind and seeking truth from facts are the ideological prerequisite to formation of the theory of essence of socialism; the process of cognition from abstract to concrete is the basic approach to the theory; adhering to the complete materialist conception of history is the solid foundation of the theory; using flexible dialectical thinking is the scientific method of the theory and revealing the essence of socialism at the highest level is the key to enhancing the knowledge of socialism to a new level. |
