Heads of State: The Vice Kings and Narcotic Barons
Authors:OBI N.I. EBBE
Affiliation:State University of New York , Brockport
Abstract:With historical records, this paper presents a descriptive analysis of the criminology of power. The paper traces the crimes of heads of state from the medieval to modern times. The various crimes of heads of state are delineated from Europe and Africa down to Asian countries. The author posits that the Machiavellian Maxim that “the end justifies the means” is a false maxim as it destroyed so many human beings including the heads of state who pursued it. The paper concludes with noting the consequences of crimes of heads of state to society and particularly to the underprivileged elements of society.
