广西边境管理面临的挑战及对策

改革开放以来,特别是中国—东盟博览会永久落户南宁和中国—东盟自由贸易区的建成,广西边境贸易、人员往来、边境口岸等呈不断增长的趋势,在为广西边境地区带来发展的同时,也给边境管理带来了前所未有的挑战。针对广西边境管理的严峻形势,应不断探索新形势下边境管理工作新路子,全面提升维护国家安全和边境稳定的能力,加快建设安全、和谐、富强的边境地区。

Challenges Faced by Guangxi Border Management and the Countermeasures

Since reform and opening up,particularly China-ASEAN Expo’s setting its permanent site in Nanning and the establishment of China-ASEAN Free Trade Area,there has been an ever-increasing trend in terms of Guangxi border trade,personnel exchanges and border crossings,which brings about development opportunities as well as unprecedented challenges for border management in Guangxi border areas.Based on the grim situation for Guangxi border management,the article suggests that great efforts should be made to pioneer a new route for border management,upgrade the overall competence to maintain national security and border stability so as to develop secure,harmonious and prosperous border areas.
