| Abstract: | The English proverbs have a long history. Their origins are rich and involved in every aspect of the social life. The first genesis is the well-known Holy Bible. The second origin consists of the countless English literary works. The third source embraces the popular Aesop's Fables .The fourth genesis lies in some influential foreign languages in the Europe. The fifth origin is made up of the wise invention of the English people. |
