Compared with other developing countries, agriculture developments in ASEAN-3 are characterized by relatively high growth, diversification of agricultural structure, reasonable overall framework of agriculture etc.. Government policies supporting agricultural growth in the earlier period were expansion of cultivated area and land reform. Green revolution and agro-industry implementations were the policy strategies carried out by ASEAN-3 government in the 1970s and 1980s.
