| Abstract: | This paper, through the method of type and motif, gives a complete analysis to a widely spreading story type about a cobble who became the emperor's son-in-law. Particularly, it makes a deep study on the character of Chinese culture conveyed by the stories' comic art. Through the cultural spirits of the stories, the author describes the transmission of the type in China. |
