Diplomatic Mediation and the Six-party Talks on Korean Nuclear Issue

China has mediated the six-party talks on Korean nuclear issue. The China-led mediation also has assumed new meaning and attributes, consequently prevented Korean nuclear crisis from escalation considering balance of the short-term and long-term interests, of the non-proliferation principle and security concerns of relative parties. In perspective of perception and comparison between target and capacity of China's mediation, however, the mediation is also confronted with challenges and dilemma.
