称谓语翻译的文化接受视角--《红楼梦》英译本与《京华烟云》中部分称谓语使用对比分析

同样的汉语称谓语,在<红楼梦>英译本与<京华烟云>中却受到了不同的处理,其主要原因并不在于同样的称谓语在两个文本中含义不同,而在于译者(作者)在个体前置意识的作用下对其产生了不同的理解并对词语做出了不同的选取.林语堂先生的处理方式,即对一般指称语以解释的方式表达,而对直接称谓语则采取音译的方式,这更利于期待视野转变与文化传播.

Cultural Angle of View about the Translation of Title

The same title is translated in a different way between the English version of the Story of the Stone and Passing Scenes in Beijing. The main reason does not lie in the different meanings of the same title but in the different understanding and choice of words of the author affected by the previous consciousness. Mr Lin Yutang's method that average title can be expressed by explanation while direct title can be translated according to its pronunciation further benefited the shifting of angle of view and the spreading of culture.
